At each community location, including Grand River's Freeport campus and the Palmerston and Guelph hospital sites, kidney dialysis is a core service and we replaced all the chairs over the last 3 years because of incredible donors like you. More than 50 chairs have been supported.

Since dialysis patients receive treatment 3-7 days per week for 4-5 hours per treatment, chairs meant for one-time procedures simply do not meet their needs. The new, ergonomically designed chairs that the renal team would like to purchase have a backrest to support cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, snap-on/snap-off features for easier cleaning and allow for patients to exercise to some extent while receiving dialysis. 

The new chairs are electrically adjustable and have three separate sections—a leg rest, a seat and a back—for maximum safety and comfort. They also have a long service life and low maintenance costs, and because of the “snap on, snap off concept,” they are easy to maintain and clean.

All donations to Tools of Care products goes toward the vital equipment the hospital needs in the highest priority order AND all of these tools are proudly used and needed in our Hospital.

TAX RECEIPTS

When donating, any information entered in the billing address fields on the payment screen will be used to generate an automatic tax receipt. If a company name is added here, the tax receipt will be issued to the company.

If your donation is in honour of a friend or loved one, you can email them a digital e-card upon making a donation.

E-cards are available for donations made in memory and in celebration of someone, and each e-card allows you to customize the message being sent. In order to send an e-card, you will need to know the recipient's email address.

When you reach the completed payment screen, you will see the available e-card options, or you can click this link to send an e-card and message directly.

The Foundation will only notify individuals upon request. You can use the cart note function to provide a message and contact details for the recipient.
